  • Research Engineering SW Developer

    PhD or MS/CS focus – High Frequency Trading firm
    We are seeking software engineers to join our Research Engineering/Data Science team. This group combines modeling and engineering at and are responsible for all aspects of the modeling workflow that transforms data into production trading algorithms. Some of the problems addressed by this diverse group of engineers are:
    Scalable data analysis and visualization;
    Modeling languages that enable declarative and conversational model development;
    Distributed simulators and simulation infrastructure to support large scale simulations;
    Meta-optimization;
    Portfolio and risk analysis and steering platform.

    Requirements Include:
    5+ years of software development experience.
    Strong background in computer science. A PhD or Masters in Computer Science from an accredited institution is required.
    Experience in and have a deep passion for one or more of the following areas: large scale distributed systems design, portfolio and risk analysis, experience developing languages and language tools, data science, data visualization and distributed simulations.
    Excitement to work closely with our modelers, portfolio managers and others, to gain a deep understanding of critical aspects of our business
    An appreciation and understanding of quantitative software development.

  • QA/Test Automation Engineer

    Key Responsibilities

    Contributes to the development of and continued improvements to the automation framework(s)
    Contributes to the improvement of automation testing methods, processes and deliverables
    Creates automation test plans and prioritizes testing assignments based on business requirements for each Sprint
    Designs and develops reusable, automated test cases in accordance with coding best practices
    Provides accurate time estimates for user stories and automation test plans for each Sprint
    Partners with Product Management and Delivery teams throughout the SDLC
    Collaborates with peers in QA and Development to share information and resolve issues
    Documents, tracks, and reports on product defects
    Keeps current with testing and quality trends and techniques, tools and processes
    Participates in requirement reviews and design spec reviews to contribute quality requirements and ensure testability
    Participates in automation test plan reviews and code reviews
    Documents automation solutions so they are easily understood and maintainable

    Qualifications

    Must be legally authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
    1+ year experience contributing to the improvement of automation test frameworks and infrastructure
    3+ years experience designing and implementing test automation
    Experience in contributing to a complex QA automation framework solution
    Solid knowledge of QA process and testing methodology
    Experience in testing and delivering web platforms and applications
    Extensive experience with automation/programming languages & frameworks: Ruby, Watir, Cucumber and Selenium WebDriver
    Experience with REST/SOAP and API Testing
    Ability to identify and document detailed defect reports, and track fixes through to completion
    Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence

    Utilizes technical knowledge to write and complete software tasks and projects
    Researches new technologies and incorporates them into new systems and products
    Takes initiative in leading projects and collaborating with others
    Tests, integrates, writes, troubleshoots, and debugs software applications
    Responsible for the architecture and implementation of critical software components
    Work to improve the efficiency and functionality of current systems and products
    Update current products and develop new ones to product specifications

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics or engineering
    3+ years of professional software development
    1+ years of experience developing native iOS applications in Objective-C with experience in: Memory management/ARC, Core data, Synchronous and asynchronous constructs such as Blocks, NSOperationQueues, etc, Networking, Categories, Delegates Local and Push notifications
    Experience with automation, continuous integration, unit test, change management and configuration management
    Contributed to the release of at least one medium to large-size application in the app store
