  • Full-Stack Python Web Developer

    A crucial aspect of this role is a passion for complex data structures and environments. Our data infrastructure follows a polyglot approach, employing technologies such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Titan Graph DB to store heavily denormalized data structures and graph models.

    Responsibilities
    Work closely with product and machine learning teams to translate data insights into compelling web applications
    Create rapid web prototypes to explore data visualizations
    Explore emerging web stack technologies and experiment with their application

    Requirements
    B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field
    Demonstrated experience designing and building complex web experiences
    Expert knowledge of Python

    Experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone.js, AngularJS, Ember.js, etc
    Exposure to data visualization frameworks such as Rickshaw.js, Recline, or any D3 based frameworks a plus

  • Research Engineering SW Developer

    PhD or MS/CS focus – High Frequency Trading firm
    We are seeking software engineers to join our Research Engineering/Data Science team. This group combines modeling and engineering at and are responsible for all aspects of the modeling workflow that transforms data into production trading algorithms. Some of the problems addressed by this diverse group of engineers are:
    Scalable data analysis and visualization;
    Modeling languages that enable declarative and conversational model development;
    Distributed simulators and simulation infrastructure to support large scale simulations;
    Meta-optimization;
    Portfolio and risk analysis and steering platform.

    Requirements Include:
    5+ years of software development experience.
    Strong background in computer science. A PhD or Masters in Computer Science from an accredited institution is required.
    Experience in and have a deep passion for one or more of the following areas: large scale distributed systems design, portfolio and risk analysis, experience developing languages and language tools, data science, data visualization and distributed simulations.
    Excitement to work closely with our modelers, portfolio managers and others, to gain a deep understanding of critical aspects of our business

  • QA/Test Automation Engineer

    Key Responsibilities

    Contributes to the development of and continued improvements to the automation framework(s)
    Contributes to the improvement of automation testing methods, processes and deliverables
    Creates automation test plans and prioritizes testing assignments based on business requirements for each Sprint
    Designs and develops reusable, automated test cases in accordance with coding best practices
    Provides accurate time estimates for user stories and automation test plans for each Sprint
    Partners with Product Management and Delivery teams throughout the SDLC
    Collaborates with peers in QA and Development to share information and resolve issues
    Documents, tracks, and reports on product defects
    Keeps current with testing and quality trends and techniques, tools and processes
    Participates in requirement reviews and design spec reviews to contribute quality requirements and ensure testability
    Participates in automation test plan reviews and code reviews
    Documents automation solutions so they are easily understood and maintainable

    Qualifications

    Must be legally authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
    1+ year experience contributing to the improvement of automation test frameworks and infrastructure
    3+ years experience designing and implementing test automation
    Experience in contributing to a complex QA automation framework solution
    Solid knowledge of QA process and testing methodology
    Experience in testing and delivering web platforms and applications
    Extensive experience with automation/programming languages & frameworks: Ruby, Watir, Cucumber and Selenium WebDriver
    Experience with REST/SOAP and API Testing
    Ability to identify and document detailed defect reports, and track fixes through to completion
    Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence

  • Quantitative Analyst – High Frequency Trading Firm

    Likely has an Advanced Degree – Masters or PhD – in a highly quantitative discipline (such as Physics or Applied Math).

    Research expertise will be around advanced quantitative analysis of very large data sets. Particularly focused on algorithm development.

    May have finance/investing experience from another quant investing role, but also just as likely to come from a non-finance background

    Strong programming skills – will likely be required to pass a code test in Java, C, or C++.

  • Lead QA Engineer – Downtown Austin

    Lead QA Engineer We need a senior person with success in complex and fast paced software environments. We need someone who will act independently and can also get change within the team underway that makes everyone better.

    The person needs to have the ability to breakdown complex systems and understand how changes turn into points of risk across that system, devise a test plan to address it, and communicate the necessary trade offs made in that plan. Basically, take a QA challenge, break it down and create a “best of available options” plan and then defend/explain that plan.

    In terms of technical skills, we work with Amazon hosting, Linux operating system, MySQL db’s, Jetty application servers, and Cassandra data storage. For programing languages the application uses Java and PHP and the team also executes SQL queries and queries into Cassandra.
